Type MC Cable in Sizes 18 AWG to 5 AWG employing interlocked aluminum armor.

General - The cable shall be constructed in accordance with the Standard for Metal-Clad Cables and as noted below.

Insulated Conductors – Listed Types XHHW, XHHW-2, RHH, RHW, RHW-2,   RFH-2, FFH-2, THHN, THWN, THWN-2, TFN and TFFN or Unlisted conductors similar to Types TFN and TFFN except rated 90°C dry, 75°C or 90°C wet and employing compounds appearing in this manufacturer's Follow-Up Service Procedure File E210924 as being suitable for both Types THHN and THWN or THWN-2; or Unlisted conductors similar to Types RFH-2 or FFH-2 except rated 90°C dry, 75°C or 90°C wet and employing compounds appearing in this manufacturer's Follow-Up Service Procedure File E202443 as being suitable for Types XHHW or XHHW-2.

    Binder Tape - A polyester tape having a minimum thickness of 2.5 mils and a minimum lap of 0.4 shall be employed.

    Fillers – Optional.

    Grounding Conductor - In accordance with the Standard.

    Inner Jacket - (Optional) - In accordance with the Standard.

    Armor - Interlocked aluminum Alloy 5052 with dimensions in accordance with the following table:
